Collaboration, communication, community engagement, and empathy are some of the guiding principles of the latest art exhibition at the Gem Center for the Arts. The 12 artists behind Connections seek to explore the enduring significance of interconnectivity and the network of relationships at play in all aspects of the human experience. With media varying from virtual reality environments and video/sound works to earth installations and performance art, this exhibition is a testament to the range and quality of contemporary art being made in and around Boise.
The Connections exhibition will be on display at the Gem Center for the Arts from July 15th to September 8th, 2018 with an opening reception occurring on Thursday, July 19th from 6-9pm.
The Gem Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit organization and hub for fostering creativity and innovation through both visual and performing arts.
Featuring work by Liz Altmiller, Aarin Bigler, Catina Crum, Alekzander de Dóchas, Karen Doty, Mikayla Jones, Jessica Miceli, Kailee Poetsch, Candace Rood, Vivianne Siqueiros, Chanel Talbot, and Mike Wilson.
