Formerly Big Easy Concert House, now the Knitting Factory. World-class performers and state of the art sound and lighting make this 1,000-capacity concert venue come alive almost every night of the week. When it's not buzzing with great concerts from touring national acts, the Knitting Factory also features dance club nights and other special events that keep the crowds rocking into the wee hours. And you can always see what's happening on stage or on the dance floor thanks to a sophisticated live-action video system, including a giant monitor next to the stage and video screens throughout the venue.

Drove 200 miles last night to see Johnny Winter at the Knitting Factory in Boise, ID. Could not wait! This was the most ridiculously mixed sound for a live concert I have ever experienced. It was ten times too loud, but that's par for the course-I get that-but the bass and kick drum was so loud in the mix Winter may as well played guitar with his feet and kicked it across the stage. It would've sounded the same. It sounded like a decent concert would from the parking lot only louder. Horrible. A drunken, retarded ape could have mixed that better. It ruined the concert. I want my money back. Words cannot describe how poorly the sound system was set up in this venue.
My apologies if the mix was in fact performed by a drunken, retarded ape.

Ive been to this concert house twice. After the first time I swore I wouldn't go back. The only reason I did was because one of my favorite bands was going to be there. It's uncomfortable, crowded, and besides the fact you feel like you wasted the money because most of the time you can't see, you have to deal with obnoxious drunks. The floor is sticky, for obvious reasons, but once you stand on it for so long you feel like you can't move, let alone climb the steps to leave. It's a drug dog's paradise. There was lots of smoking, but it wasn't cigarettes. It was back then when it was the Big Easy, and it is now in need of some serious remodeling.
